Once again we set out on our game drive with David at the wheel with our German friends. We saw a young bull elephant having a bath in a local stream and then headed towards the white lions. We watched for a while identifying both brother and sister lying under some nearby trees. As there was not much activity we had our 'sundown' there. One of our companions decided there was not enough activity so she started knocking very loudly on the side of the vehicle which unnerved one if the lions and started heading towards us. David took control of the situation and all was well.

This morning we were up at 5.30 am again to head out alone with David. This time we headed to the reservoir (it covers an area of 4 hectares) to see if we could find the hippos. Loads of birds including Cape Geese, Couts, Fish Eagle but no hippos this time. We did however see buffaloes, followed by a troop of baboons and then a herd of elephants. Quite a successful morning. Had our last breakfast and said goodbye to Sanbona. A most wonderful experience.
We left the game lodge and an hour and three quarters we were back on the main road heading to Oudtshoorn.

The drive was amazing through, up and over mountains and have now arrived at a small boutique hotel called Riverside Lodge right next to a manual suspension bridge.
