Yesterday evening we went out to Stellenbosch and was treated to a traditional Cape meal. I had Cape Salmon cooked with ginger and Michael (dad) had a Malaii Chicken pie. We were sorry to leave the Marianne, it was lovely and so peaceful.
We had a 3 hour journey to Sanbona reserve but we managed to get there on time. Once we registered our arrival at the entrance it was a further 100 minute drive to our actual lodge as we are at the western far end of the game reserve. We are in a tented building which actually is surprisingly spacious and has a secluded plunge pool. We have been warned about the baboons who like to slide down the roof of the tents at night. We are currently getting ready for our first drive out on safari to see what we can.
