Last night we ate at The Aubergine restaurant, nothing much to report from there except the free appetiser was veal tongue which was interesting and Michael (dad) had a strange looking fish called Kingklip.
This morning we headed out early and caught the blue route bus to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain. To be honest we probably had missed the most colourful time to go as many of the flowers had already bloomed. However, the sights, smells and textures of the wonderful array of flowers and vegetation was amazing. I think you could go again tomorrow and still find something different. There were many flowers we knew from cultivated varieties at home.
From there we carried on the blue bus route and headed to the Two Oceans Aquarium. It's called this because the species exhibited come from where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. We found nearby a local craft market where we bought a few local craft mementoes (we hope Nicola likes her nose ring and Rob his loin cloth, just joking!)
Had enough as it was getting too hot so headed back to our base to have a cold drink and mull on what adventures we have tomorrow as we head to Stellenbosch.

Comments
Nose ring and loin cloth huh?! Already have several!
Too hot? We are under rather a lot of snow here! Tomorrow could be interesting!
Enjoy your second stop, looking forward to hearing what it is like xx
