Well Hello everyone once more.
The Days are drawing ever closer to the time of departure. Which I'm sure that you have all already picked up on by now "THAT'S CHRISTMAS DAY"! So with Santa putting his feet up in front of the fire after his hard night of work, our intrepid team shall begin there's. And, whereas old St. Nicks Work lasts only one night, ours won't see us touching foot in the UK again until Mid January. Beat that Claus. OK, he might actually be able to- we can't fly or deliver presents, but our adventure can bring the gift of aid that will last far longer than Christmas and can change the lives of communities and individuals for a Lifetime. So once again thank you for your continued support.
Anyway, This weekend we indulged in a little Rickshaw Training 101 down in Southampton thanks to, and also under the watchful eye of, www.Tukshop.biz. It seems that the challenge of driving them isn't going to be all that bad. OK, so that's a lie, The Captain stalled, and although the others were better (notably Seb with his motor cycle prowess), everyone soon realised that although these things are easy to drive, they are also easy to crash, easy to roll, easy to carry. But we're a sensible and careful bunch...... Hmmm.... so I guess that none of those other than "easy to drive" will really matter.
Despite proving ourselves as expert Tuk-Tuk pilots, we were however disappointed to learn that the brand spanking new model featured in the photos will not be anything at all like the ones that we'll throw into the wilderness and tracks of the Sub-Continent! Our test model was 4 Stroke and rather nicely kitted out with speakers, electric starter motor and working everything. It even had full independent suspension and wasn't uncomfortable one bit. I'd happily sit in it for days. Problem is.... ours are old, 2 Stroke, Crank Start, sadly lacking in electrics, and suspension is for wimps apparently. Well, bugger it! We're in it to win it, and we'll turn whatever we are presented with into the worlds greatest ever Rickshaws!!!!! MEGA TEAM GSR RICKSHAWS!
We even managed a little attention gathering done whilst bumping around a carpark in Southampton. We posed happily for the Press and Chatted away for the Beeb, and other film crews. Though nothing is as good at publicising our team as trying to adhere as many stickers saying TEAM GSR as you can to everything in site. Whether people knew they were victim to sticker plastering or not, everyone present bore one, even the Rickshaw itself fell victim. Spreading the word was never more fun!

Special News, We've received contact from a few additional International Sponsor wannabes in the US and in India. If everything goes well, we'll be able to announce more official team Sponsors over the next week - so keep a look out here, and on our main site www.TeamGSR.co.uk.

Team News: Everyone, except for Lyle that is, is now Visa in Hand, Ticket in Hand and are ready to hit the wonderful world of Tuk-Tuk heaven that is Delhi, our Indian entry point! We've even looked at a map - then thought that was a silly idea and returned to our drinks - but we at least gazed at one for a minute or so!

PARTY PARTY PARTY - In the spirit of generating as much money as possible for the event we've still got the Live Charity Music Fund raiser to look forward to on the 12th. It's at the Blag Club. in Notting Hill Gate. London. And we're certain that it's going to be a mad night, appreciated by all, and which you shall all be informed of. Post Recovery!
Lets start to think about Revving those Engines (substitute at will the words Rrevving and Engine, Pushing and Rickshaws)
