The excursion we had wanted to do did not allow children and the others were either fully booked, or looked at bit naff, so we decided to try our "winging it" approach. This had worked well on other occasions, but this was not to be one of them…
According to the blurb, the main town was about 1.5KM away, so with no taxis in sight, we bought some water and decided to take a walk… About 4KM later, we flagged down a passing cyclist and in a combination of broken French / English determined that we would have to walk a very long way to get anywhere.
Before starting back, we went down to the sea and sat with our feet in the water and generally lazed about for a bit watching the world go by.
When we got back to the road, Joe had decided that he had had enough of walking and stuck out his thumb. No sooner had he done it, than a small van pulled over and offered us a lift!
Back at the port, we had a brief foray in the souvenir shops, bought a fridge magnet, and then back on board Rhapsody to get ready for the next meal.
