Mom loved Colbert's French Bistro...As we all did...
Our accommodations were limited, but we had a hot shower, and clean, comfy beds....(see pix)
The views were so beautiful....especially at night..:)
The morning fresh blended juices were a great pick-me-up....
Too cloudy for views of Poas Volcon, or waterfalls..We have had some rainy days, but the rain is warm, and tropical feels so nice after 20 degree weather at home...:)
After breakfast .we choose to go directly to the orphanage in Atenas...glad we did as it took us until dark to make it to our destination of Arenal, after our half-hour visit with the children....

According to Wikipedia there are TRAINS in this province (3'6" gauge), including the TICO Tour train that runs on weekends from San Jose to Caldera (are there a lot of volcanoes, or what?). Pictures of same would be greatly appreciated!
HELLO-I will ask about the train. In 2006 I thought I heard that it was not running, but it's a good question...I have not seen a train yet.
Volcano Country for sure, but many clouds covering the two we've seen. Perhaps today we will get to see Arenal..we are staying at it's base...at Silencio Del Campo.
