Where I stayed
Barnaby caught the train to Danang. He and his friends then travelled by taxi to Hoi An (some 30 km). Hoi An is renowned for its tailors, therefore a day was spent perusing the various wares. Barnaby had timed his visit to perfection as, noy only was it the middle of the lunar month (Hoi An Legendary Night), it was also Buddha's birthday . As a result, there was a candlelit festival on the Thu Bon River, between Hoi An and An Hoi. There were traditional dancing and games, paddle boat rides on the river and floats processing up and down the lantern lit streets.
