Not much news to report - running the hostel is fun, and everyone thinks I'm lovely for staying on and helping out. I went to Derry last weekend for a few days, which happened to coincide with Irish weather reverting to autumn rather than spring. I will remember Derry with great fondness for two reasons:

1: I bought a t-shirt that says The Leprechauns Make Me Do It. Oh yeah.
2: 3 police with Very Big Guns burst through the kitchen door at the hostel and ran into the courtyard.

As you can see, it's hard to top that - guns and amusing t-shirts all in one weekend. The hostel's been pretty quiet, so I'm heading to Galway on Tuesday where in all likelyhood Michaelangelo will drink himself stupid while I continue on my saintly ways. No really.

Anyway, I know that none of you will be watching Eurovision since I'm not there to make you, but I'm excited. The Irish guy has shortened in the betting (why the hell can't you bet on Eurovision in Australia?????) and I'm delighted to report that the Finnish death metal band have made the final (think Slipknot, but Finnish.)

Here's hoping that England get 0 points again. That was just funny.

PS - Have just seen the AFL ladder, and it would be fantastic apart from the whole Collingwood being on top thing. Can someone explain to me what that is about?

PPS - Hope your 21st was worthy of Fat Mouse Lazz.

i'll pretend you didn't mention 'the ladder'
Pete's findings on China go as far as: hardly anyone speaks english (even the taxi drivers havn't the foggiest) and the Great Wall is fantastic, even if to just get away from the masses. He also flies into London tomorrow so it's a pity you just missed him. Your police encounter couldn't be more Faulty Towers mate, had a great chuckle picturing your face! Running this hostel could be your calling...

Don't mention the war!!!!!
Aha! I knew I was wise to do a tour. Tell Pete if he needs any hostel info to yell out - but yeah I don't get to London until around the 7th of June.

(sorry Clairice, but even having the nicest person in the world supporting them does not make Essendon a good team).

*Death Metal Grunt*
Saw that band, had a bit of a laugh and can't believe they made the final! Mick Malloy showed 'em on Any Given Sunday today. As for Collingwood, they're just a really good team now that they don't have inujuries. Smashed Geelong last night.

We are the winners of Eurovision...
they did more than make the final....was gutted that Lithuania didn't win, they had a guy who looked like Peter Garrett and danced like my brother
