We got up that morning and went to breakfast.  We walked around again for a bit in town, and UB hadn't felt well for a few days, and that morning it was worse than ever.  We got medication for him ($25 US).  We were set to leave that afternoon to take a boat to Hurghada, so we hoped he'd be better by then.

We spent the day relaxing by the water and walking around in town.  It was a nice day.  We went to the ferry that would take us to Hurghada.  The ferry left at around 6, and there were very rough seas!  That was Kate's turn to feel sick!  We got to Hurghada, and of course, there were many cab drivers waiting for us!  We'd planned to take a bus to Luxor that night, but we decided it wouldn't be a good idea because we would have gotten into a town outside of Luxor at 3 AM (we'd missed the earlier bus).

We ended up going to the Intercontinental Hurghada which we'd held as a backup (you need to have a backup plan in Egypt, we'd discovered!).  We arrived, and Kate talked her way into a room with a view of the Red Sea on a high floor.  We thought we'd died and gone to heaven when we got to the room - spa hot tub, views from our terrace of the beautiful grounds (including pools, horse paddocks, tennis courts, etc!), huge kingsize bed, and a giant tv with tons and tons of channels.  UB even got the chance to watch the Michigan/USC game that night!

We had our biggest splurge dinner that night at a restaurant at the hotel.  UB got giant prawns and Kate got denis fish.  We had nice wine and they brought us desserts at the end.  We went to bed in the wonderful big bed and had a great night's sleep.
