The Raviers live in an apartment in the middle of town. The street, Gambetta Blvd., is basically a city street. We actually pulled up in front of a cafe and Cyril said ‘OK let’s go!’ and we started taking everything out of the car. I was confused until I realized the door to the building is nestled beside the cafe. It was awkward having men out drinking and smoking stare at Agathe and I as we carried my two and a half bags into the foyer. But luckily there is a lift, as they live on the top, the fourth floor. It only holds 3 people, though! With no elbow room, let alone breathing room.

There was a little complication getting my wifi set up on my computer when I arrived but it is finally working so here I am going to post this so those of you anxiously waiting for updates (mom, dad) can have a taste of my past half a week. The Alps are right outside of my window. The sun is setting and they are purple and pink; the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

I've arrived, and I'm alive! Hugs and kisses from across the Atlantic!
Thea
