This was my last evening in Korea. For this time. When we returned to Ansan it was already dark, but still relatively early. We wandered around downtown and on the fourth floor of one of numerous shiny buildings spotted "Le Ciel Café", a place advertising itself as a European-style café. So Su Yeon as a bonified Europe fan and I as someone who wanted to have a real milk tea climbed up there. The place was neatly arranged and in fact in style resembled a true Central European pastry shop. As it was so, we ordered ourselves a piece of cake each to boot. The owner was a guy who had been living in Europe for a while and become another Korean it had left an impression on.
"I don't know about you, but in spite of all I had a good time in Incheon today," I told Su Yeon.
"Yes. It was really interesting," she agreed. "We did so many things."
"And we didn't even see everything. Which means one has something to do in Incheon even more than just one day."
She laughed. Of course, as most often the case, it is more important who you are with than where you are. And that is why Su Yeon and I had a nice Friday the thirteenth today.
