On my second night in Denmark I slept even less than the first one. One of the reasons were birds again, for which we now knew were of the freshwater zoo within the centre for the water environment. But it was as it was. I already knew from experience that on my travels with my band I would not sleep too much. Adrenaline would get me through the day and I would think about sleep when everything was over.

As our performance was scheduled only at 18:00, I had enough time on my hands, so I decided to go downtown again. I didn't care what others would do. I notified only R as we shared the room anyway, and left. The day was, in contrast to the one before, cloudy. It was no wonder after it had suddenly turned grey the previous and it had even started raining. Some time later it had stopped, but for a while it had chased a lot of people away from their seats to the shelters. We hoped such a thing wouldn't happen to us, but if there is anything you can influence, the weather certainly is not that.

Along the way I caught up with Marina and N who, too, went downtown, so I joined them. Chatting about this and that, we soon found ourslves at Torvet again. It was once more crowded, quite a few people sporting cowboy hats again, but today there was a five-piece pensioners' dixieland band on stage. And a very good one at that. Then again, why not? I have always loved dixieland and swing, particularly when people play it well. We were hanging around a little and then the two of them wanted to buy a souvenir or two and a gift or two. Since Silkeborg, as I have already said, is no New York, it all basically came down to Vestergade and Søndergade again. I didn't notice that gentleman with the festival T-shirt downtown today. But we started bumping into each other and saying hello at Indelukket, so I knew we would meet again.

When Marina and N bought what they wanted, we turned back towards the hotel. Getting there, we came to a conclusion that we had more than enough time to visit the fresh water aquarium and zoo. Then M popped up, as well, and joined us. Of course, it was nothing spectacular. But in all that greenery you can't feel bad even if you try your best, so we spent a very pleasant hour there.

And then it was time for us to prepare for the upcoming gig and go to Indelukket. From that moment on, we were no tourists any more, but only musicians.
