On the way to Pisco we veer off into the direction of the sand dunes to find a tiny village surrounding a real life desert oasis, where the dunes are huge and waiting for the chad to ride them...and a pool doenst hurt either.

Theres only a couple of things to do here really, thats surf the dunes and dunk into the pool (or lagoon, but i wouldnt because i could smell that thing for miles). So half the group including me decided to do both, while the other half lazed around the pool for the afternoon.

A 10 seater dunebuggy was calling my name begging me to ride the dunes, and before you know it we were up and over hundreds of crests looking for the perfect slope to slide the first of 5 slides.
These dunes are awesome, once i nailed the technique after the first go, i was able to get further and further on each slide, and boy is it fun!
The landscape was picturesque....golden sand for miles against a backdrop of clear blue sky, i couldnt pick a better day to ride the dunes.

In a couple hours it was all over and we headed back to the oasis to join the lazies, where i got cleaned up and took a well needed dip in the pool for a few hours. I couldnt have asked for a better followup activity after riding hills of sand in 35 degree heat.
