Friday we mostly took it easy and relaxed at the campground.  We did do a walk down to the Bow river where we saw fresh bear prints in the mud.  The bear was probably young ( a year old or so) as the prints were about as large as my palm.  We did take notice of the park rangers who were armed with serious firearms as they walked through the campground.  When we are in heavy bear country I like to have my pistol with me, but Canada won't allow pistols.  Patti has a back up plan for situations like this.  She tells me she will be safe, because she can run faster than I can.  Not a bad plan huh?

Saturday we drove North through the park toward Jasper, to see the Ice Fields.
