We departed San Diego around 5 PM on Sunday April 3rd, and were at sea for the 4th and 5th.  Wednesday morning we woke up with the ship docked in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.  On a previous cruise we saw Puerto Vallarta and really enjoyed the beauty of this area, but we decided that we would not get off the ship in Puerto Vallarta since the excursions were what we had already done.  We enjoyed exploring around the ship for the first few days, learning where everything was located.

The MS Rotterdam is the smallest cruise ship we have been on; a necessity because it just barely will fit through the locks in the Panama Canal.  Everything is scaled down a bit on this ship, but it is still very nice.
