We had absolutely horrible winds from Big Spring to Ruidoso. After we got here we learned that there were tornadoes about 20 miles from us as we drove here. We are staying here for a week and will then probably stay somewhere in southern NM for a while.

We are being mostly lazy here. We went to the Hubbard Museum which was very nice. They have many western artifacts and lots of horse related stuff. It was well worth the $5 senior admission price.

We took a drive to Cloudcroft, Alamogordo, Tularosa, and back to Ruidoso. It's been many years since we were in this area and much as changed. In Alamogordo we stopped briefly at the Museum of Space. I walked around the outside displays which were really interesting to me. Much of the space program hardware was tested at Holloman AFB and White Sands Missile Range. Both are located in this area.

We got our cruise excursions selected and finalized our cruise details. With the escalating violence especially in Mexico, we are being very careful about where we will get off the ship.
