We stayed here through Wednesday and explored the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Our neighbor at lakeside RV was named LeBlanc and referred to himself as a cajun. He was cooking a huge pot of Jambalaya which he shared with us. He told us that when we got to the Mississippi Gulf we would see "slab city" because of all the houses that were destroyed by hurricane Katrina. He was right. There were miles of vacant lots with only foundations left on the property. Some of the buildings are being rebuilt. We had some good seafood here and enjoyed Mississippi. The beaches were beautiful and showed no damage from the oil rig disaster in the gulf. There are beautiful casinos along the coast.
