Shady Oaks RV Park

We stayed at Shady Oaks Monday through Friday morning and were really happy with this RV park. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Monday evening we drove to Young's Lobster Pound which was recommended to us by Valerie and Jason. We ordered oysters on the half shell and twin lobsters. We did not realize that you could bring wine or beer to Young's but noticed that other customers had. While our lobsters were cooking, we drove to a store and got a six pack. We really enjoyed the dinner!

Tuesday we drove to Bar Harbor and went to Acadia National Park. We drove through two parts of Acadia, the largest section near Bar Harbor and the smaller peninsula, but did not take the ferry to the island. The seashore was beautiful. Our favorite section was the area around Bar Harbor.

Wednesday we went to Camden and Augusta. It rained on us in Camden; very hard. While we were in Augusta we went to a tavern called "The Liberal Cup" also recommended to us by Valerie and Jason.

Thursday we just hung out at the campground and rested.
