After Niagara Falls we continued east into Adirondack State Park and spent the night at Lake Eaton State Park. Our campsite was right on the edge of the lake and we had a beautiful view. This evening we had a campfire and later that evening we heard Loons and Wolves!! Hurricane Earl is working up the Eastern coast of the US and we are going to keep away from the coast until it passes. The Adirondacks are nice with lots of lakes. It is completely different then the Rockies. The views here are more limited (not the wide open views of the Western mountains) but still beautiful.
