We departed Hill City and drove through Pierre, SD. where we crossed the Mississippi River and drove around the State Capitol. We were pleased to see a travel trailer parked along side the Governor's house. The crops in this state are unbelievable! We are used to seeing huge apple orchards, large vineyards, and miles of wheat, but here we have seen miles of corn, miles of sunflowers, miles of soy beans, and miles of sugar beets. We arrived in Watertown and stayed at the WalMart super center. I had a prescription to pick up Sunday morning, so it was a very convenient place to spend the night. Our neighbors included some retired guys from Northern Michigan in a 5th wheel along with their HD motorcycles.
