Yesterday was a day which centered upon one main event: El Boliche de Alberto. It is hard to explain to anyone just how much Argentines love their meat, and how odd we seemed ordering two ensaladas completas to go along with our lamb, beef, and pork meat. But before that...

We had planned to go to this restaurant since we set foot in Bariloche, one of the best restaurants in town and perhaps (many would say) in the country... We woke up rather late and all walked over to Alberto's, deciding that a walk before and after was necessary for digestion! We got there starving, since some of us had thought it would be a good idea to fast all morning in order to properly take advantage of/in filling our stomachs!  When we got there we were to the first in the restaurant and we took advantage of that privilege and found a primo seating spot next to the window. We ordered a bottle of wine, a provoleta mixta (basically provelone cheese grilled with spices and olive oil.... need I say more?), and 4 empanadas (two meat, two cheese, and these were fried so.. need I say more...) as appetizers. After stuffing ourselves with the cheese and empas we ordered our main feast: papas fritas, ensaladas, codero (lamb), matambrito de cerdo (a really soft pork-belly cut), y bife de chorizo ( good ol' steak). We ordered another bottle of wine for good measure and began the feast, watching as each piece of sizzling meat was brought from the grill to our table! We ate un monton, sitting at te table well over two hours to enjoy our conversation and our vinito! We all decided that we had eaten enough, opting to take the rest home and grab a few bones for Shadow as well. Though full we could not help ourselves to the COPA Alberto--- a supreme dessert- vanilla ice-cream,dulce de leche, cream y frambuesas- split between four people ( with the Squidman and I eating way more than our share).
After the meal we all headed to the grocery store to pick up some things (seriously we never stop thinking about food) and Squidman and I decided to take  detour to the lake to look for a slab of wood we could later carve ( I recently discovered my love for carving wood). I had a mad case of the hiccups which I was trying to cure for about ten  minutes, resting on a rock, holding my breath, realizing that staring at the lake's movement was the best medicine for it. After the hiccups decided to leave me in peace, we strolled back home, with our huge slab of wood, and resumed our siesta time for about two hours. The parental units one and two went to see about a car, and we rested inside, I knitting, Squidman working on some school stuff. Needless to say, it was a lazy Friday, and we had no desire for more food, so we all just had some delicious veggie soup made by Denise earlier, to detox all of the meat out of our systems ( I realize I just said we didn't want food but we had soup-- a little paradoxical no?)....

We ended the day by playing a card game and watching KING ARTHUR, a movie I would recommended to those of you who like that kind of stuff!
