Where I stayed
The Pipe residence
Spent 10 days at the Pipe residence on the outskirts of Brossac.
They have 2, 3 bed villas set close to a lake and with a swimming pool, not much else around other than Wild Boar and a few wasps.
Managed to take a trip to Chalet market where we stocked up on cheese and Foie Gras.
Spent another day in Angoleme which was a pretty town on a hill.
Had a great time, eating cheese and crusty baguettes, drinking lots of wine with Ash and his parents Merle & Roy, had dinner with the owner and manager of the resort by the lake.
We left for Paris on Friday (separate entry)
-------------------------------------
Returned from Paris on Sunday with Jamey & Sam, Tracy & Lesley arrived later that day, great to have everyone together again (shame Dave & Mich were unable to make it) Spent the days sunbathing by the lake. BBQ on Sunday, big pine cone fires and lots of wine... Monday night we had a budget meal at Les Routiers (the Italian was closed) they had the best soap (see pics)
The final night was spent celebrating the following:
Mark & Angela's 3rd wedding anniversary
Roy & Merle's 47th wedding anniversary
Roys B'day
Jamey's B'day
Angela & Marks pending B'day
Stella & Pauls good news
We had a 6/7 course meal at a Chateau which was wonderful and lasted 4 hours.
All in all we have had a really great time, Mark spent many enjoyable hours with the laundry, I got the full use of the kitchen and we spent quality time with our best mates..
Best not to forget that we bought 4 new tyres for the car as well!!
On now to Marbella to find my curly twin..
