Where I stayed
Danai Hotel & Spa
Arrived after a short drive of 2 hours. ( The oil warning light on the car went off after having been on for the last couple of days. I did get a garage to check it out who said electrical fault). So all is good in the stress levels!!.
The hotel is lovely with a nice pool and looks like it was only built this season. Internet was a bit intermittent but thats Greece.
The town is small and faces a massive beach that is really busy with loads of bars all competing for trade. ( It seemed a bit stressed maybe due to the Greek economy).
The mountains I am sure would look lovely but they have been covered in cloud the whole time so we haven't seen them (Do they exists we ask ourselves!!).
One thing we have learned is that in this part of Greece you don't drink without eating and they bring you loads of tapas type food every time you order a drink. You don't need to buy a meal and as we are saving costs we didn't!!
Well, after writing the above we got chatting to the owner of the Hotel and it is only 2 Months old, he wanted to keep in touch with us after giving him our advise on further improvements and getting the british to book. Had a lovely meal and an early(ish) night.
On to Athens tomorrow....
(The humidity lowered and we saw the mountains as we were leaving)
