Well it was work but only just !! The annual awards dinner for thye user group conference was held at Petko Park which is the brand new baseball stadium in Sand Diego, home of the Padres team. As part of the diner we had a tour of the stadium. The funniest part of this is that the site the stadium is on had a little old building in the corner of the lot that is a historic site. Now because they aren't allowed to knock it down, and aren't allowed to have a wooden structure (the old building) as part of a steel structure the entire stadium (US $270 million) is an extension of the little old wooden building in the corner.

Hearing just how much the season seats are in the prime corporate spots are makes you realise that some businesses have too much cash .. I seem to remember that the most expensive worked out to around $250K a season !!

The stadiuum holds 54,000 people and was built 'small' so they could fill it up !!! Makes me look forward to the NFL game in a few weeks as that stadium hold around 80,000.

The photos don't really capture the size of the stadium, compared to anything at home it's huge!

Sheesh, Lancaster Park held over 52,000 for a shield match back in the 85.
Admittedly not as comfortable though.
