We got moving about 9am this morning. I went downstairs to check out what was available for the free continental breakfast. Came back upstairs and told Steve to get his bike gear on, we were going to find a cafe for breakfast. All the motel had was mini blueberry muffins and watered down coffee.

The guy in the office directed us to a little Mexican cafe around the corner called Jinky's Cafe. It was really good, but when they say spicy, they mean it!

Finally, it was off to the Getty for a few hours. It was warm, but nice. The only issue was the thick layer of smog obsurring the view. The art was amazing! A bit over whelming at just how much there is to see, though. It would take days to see the entire collection. We took a break for some lunch in the courtyard, and took some people watching pictures.

Finally it was time to start back to San Diego back way of the BMX shop in LA. We were melting! When we spotted a temperature read out, we weren't surprised to see it was 97F. Ick. Full black leather gear in 100 degree weather is not fun.

Lucky for us, as we headed down the freeway toward San Diego, the temperature steadily dropped. It was quite comfortable by the time we reached the Harley shop.

Then it was time for shopping! Steve had to really narrow down what he wanted to bring back for the bike, and there's a long wish list started now. Meanwhile, I picked out my starter Harley. ;)

When my parents showed up with Ian, we unpacked the bike (it's pretty impressive how much stuff you can pack in a touring bike!), and headed to Fillippi's for a yummy Italian dinner.

LA
You guys just missed the fires that started that day up there. Aren't you sad you missed a Southern California fire storm? We just don't get enough of them.

On a better note, Filipi's is soooooo good! Aren't you glad they opened one in Santee just in time for you visit?
