Where I stayed
My Parent's House
We had a late start to the morning since everyone was still so tired from Disneyland. We got all packed up and checked out of the hotel, then wandered across the street to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast. The food was good, and the portions enormous. I don't think anyone finished everything on their plates.
At 11am, we had a driver pick us up for a tour around Hollywood. This way even Steve could enjoy the sites.
First we went to Griffith's Observatory for a bird's eye view of Los Angeles. We also got a great look at the Hollywood sign from there.
Then it was down to Mann's Chinese Theater, the walk of fame, and another shopping excursion at Hot Topic.
As it turns out, Steve's hands and feet are the same size as Samuel L. Jackson, and I'm a dead ringer for Marilyn Monroe. What a pair!
We had a shortage of time, though, as we had to get to the airport so the kids could catch their flight home. We will definitely be bringing them back out to do more stuff. I think they were surprised that we didn't even cover 1/2 of what San Diego has to offer, not to mention LA.
My parents, Steve, Ian, and I then all headed back to Santee for the night. Steve and I were late to bed again preparing for our bike trip starting tomorrow.
