Today was the 7th day of straight rain and 7th day of staying home. I was suffering from what I call tropical cabin fever. My friend and I decided to motorbike to the town's famous hot spring resort and swim there in the rain. We thought it'd be cool to swim in the hot, steaming water with the rain coming down. When we got there, it seemed that everyone else had the same idea so we turned around and decided to head to a different, less famous hot spring resort. No one was there. And it stopped raining too. After about 30 minutes of swimming around we headed back home and it started to pour.

That was our adventure for the day. We got home and he cooked some pretty delicious lunch. Then he left to go to the Sunday cockfight. And I went to take my siesta. Woke up and made myself "merienda" (afternoon snack) of "turon" deep fried ripe saba banana (cooking banana) wrapped in spring roll wrapper. Had my favorite 3 in 1 Vinacafe (Vietnamese coffee) with it. It's still raining.
