Eating is always a pleasure when someone else cooks! We were hungry on Saturday afternoon and wandering the River Walk in search of a good meal and boy did we find one. I spotted Boudros Restaurant nestled along side the river and we decided to stop there. I'd seen an advertisement for their tableside guacamole and I'd seen one of the servers making the guac - sold! Let's eat here.

As it turns out, Boudros is rated very highly in San Antonio. We arrived at the perfect time, mid afternoon, part way between lunch and dinner and so we were seated immediately. We had a seat outside but not right beside the river. I was a little nervous about people bumping into our table and figured we'd enjoy our meal more a little out of the flow of traffic.

We enjoyed fresh lime aid with our amazing guacamole. For the main course, we shared a dish of quail. I found the small birds to be a bit tough but the sauce and veggies served with them was truly tasty. I wanted dessert but could not find the room in my tummy so we returned to Boudros later, after seeing the Fiesta Noche del Rio show and had dessert. I enjoyed a sorbet parfait and Sean ate a berry cobbler, both excellent.
