Paula and I took the trike to Schoodic Peninsula which has a section that is also part of Acadia.  It was about a 30 minute ride and as we got close to the water the temperature was very noticeably cooler.  The scenic drive started at the park entrance and took us to Schoodic Point where we put on windbreakers and climbed out onto the rocks.  The rocks were huge with flat tops and easy to walk on.  The waves were pounding the rocks and shooting sprays upward where the wind caught it and spread it across the rocks making them wet.  I went out to the edge where I might get some spray but I saw no sign that the waves could crash up and sweep me away.  The ranger thought otherwise and made me move away.  We took lots of pictures then continued on down the scenic drive and to Winter Harbor where we had lobster rolls from a hot dog cart on the corner.  Then we continued on to Prospect Harbor checking out the lighthouse.  The lighthouse keepers house belongs to the Navy and can be rented for servicemen's vacations.

While we were on our ride, Angela and David were on a bike ride down carriage trails.  The write-up said there was a waterfall on it but all they found was a wet spot.  Apparently it has been a while since they have had rain here.

When we returned to the camper Linda, Paula and Angela went shopping while David and I went to get the kayaks for tomorrow.  After supper we showed pictures that we had taken and then we said goodbye to David as he is departing the area in the morning.
