About 7 hours door to door froom a 9am departure from vonore. Campground was fine - reception at the hands of a elderly fellow who lives on the premises - was quick and efficient. "Should have been here yesterday: it was beatiful."  For $10 a night, it would've taken a lot to turn this into a bad deal.
Remember the scene late in the movie "Raising Arizona" when the prison escapees, John Goodman and his buddy, were driving down the highway with Baby Nathan Jr., only to realize after they looked into the back seat that they'd forgotten him? I think it went something like - both look into the back seat, do a double take, a second double take, then look at each other and SCREAM! Well, I'm sad to confess that I left my own  Baby Nathan Jr. home also -- my bike. We were two hours out from Vonore when Doris turned to me and asked, "Where's your bike?"  At first I thought, Good Grief, it's been stolen. Then in a nanosecond I realized it was safe ... in our garage, along with the bike carrier.  Meanwhile, we were carrying 25 pounds of bike clothing and gear - helmet, tools, even the pedals, for goodness sake. Notice anything missing from the back end of the Roadtrek?  I took this photo 20 minutes before Doris asked me where the bike was.
