Hello Everyone!
It has been so very long since I wrote an entry and I can easily blame this on the lack of excitement currently in my life as well as my increasing laziness!
Things have happened since I have been here, but I never get around to writing and by the time I do, it seems like they were so long ago that they are irrelevant!
So let me see... what exciting things have I done in the past month? Hmmm... I have drunk a lot of alcohol... I have spent a lot of money... oh! I found the Australian shop in Covent Garden and stocked up on Minties, Pizza Shapes and Coopers! which leads me to my next point... I have put on a lot of weight!
On a slightly more exciting note, one of my friends got botox! I got to go and watch which was exciting, yet really bizarre at the same time. My friend works in a dental practice, so she got to be a guinea pig for these people (I guess they are cosmetic dentists or something?) who were learning to do botox. There was about 20 people in the room, half plastic looking, half not and all crowding around the poor person lying on the chair having needles put in their face! I felt a little out of place and was desperate to leave by the time we got out. While we were in there, people kept saying to me "Have you already been done? Or are you next?" and I was like "no, Im... not really... no. no, no" I am quite happy with my face the way it is!
What else? (warning, not for the easily grossed out!) I got a bit drunk one night a few weekends ago and after my flatmate took me to meet the local Tony Soprano who owns a restaurant around the corner (a lovely guy!) and made me watch Robbie Williams playing with a big band on dvd (I swear, it gave me motion sickness), I ended up vomiting purple vomit all over the bathroom wall (Lots of red wine and way too much free italian food!).
A few weeks ago we got up to watch the AFL Grand Final at 5am! Definately an interesting experience, it was my first occassion in a bogan aussie-filled pub! But not something I will do again in a hurry!
Last week I got to go to Germany for 2 days for work, which was a nice break. I ended up with 8 free hours in Hannover after the training, it took me about 2 hours to see the city and then I had no choice but to go shopping! Oh, how difficult life is! Anyway, by the weekend I was buggered so I did pretty much nothing at all, I did make it to the gym though (my flatmates borrowed their friends membership for me, coz I sure as hell cannot afford a membership!)! I was very proud of myself!
What else, what else... Work is fine, I like my job but the pay is bad. Living here is okay, but I miss having people around who I can laugh with, I miss Dani, I love my flatmates though, lovely guys, Im very glad I found them! Im still desperate for New York and I am always listening for that single male new york accent (Im not sure exactly what that sounds like, but to be honest, really, who would leave NY to go to London?).
I have booked my trip(s) home, Ill be back in Melbourne Feb 21 for a few days, then Feb 29 for who knows how long, Im hoping to squeeze in a trip to NY on my way back to London but with my current financial situation, thats not looking too likely! But if anyone is willing to contribute to the "Get Ten to New York" fund, Im open to it! Joking! But if anyone knows anyone who can get me a job there, let me know! Geez, I am rambling! Its 11pm and I am falling asleep as I type! I can see you all reading this going "What the hell is she on about? The crazy city is getting to her!"! And yes,you are probably right, so you should all come and visit me!!
Ok, ok, Im going, Im going! Ill try to load some photos, but warning, they will be about as exciting as this entry! haha!
Speak to you all soon!
Lots of lovin!
