It rains all night tap, tap, tapping on the metal roof and gurgling down the downpipes. Good Morning Smokey Mountains! Already, there are Humming birds feasting at Casey's newly hung breakfast bar.
We decide to stick close to civilization and take the easy sounding "Fighting Creek Self Guided Nature Trail" at the Sugarland Visitor’s Center collocated at the visitor’s center. For some reason… we appear to be the only people hiking. Could it be the rain? This scenic trail winds its way up streams and Catarac Falls up to a lonely traditional cabin.
We scamper back home as the volume and intensity of the rain increase. To the hot tub!
