So, most of the areas I have visited in Germany have been near army bases and are therefore Americanized and quite touristy. Today, I went with Sarah and her high school friends to Neunkirchen where we walked around a German mall (one of few in the country!) and went out to eat! On the way, we passed through German towns that they assured me were real Germany! Here, they speak an entirely different dialect from elsewhere. More pronounced than the difference between yankees and southerners in the US! Isn't that crazy?
Anyways, we walked around the mall (it looks like an American mall, but you can't read any of the signs!) and then went to dinner. Afterwards, we walked around the town and took some cute pictures and had a good time.
We had a little car trouble on the way home, but we survived and made it!
