Hey you guys

America, America, America! Ya¨ll having a good day?

Today was a brilliant day! Ever wondered why San Diego zoo is called the best zoo in the world? Basically because it is. Wow! We have never had so much fun at a zoo and this zoo is massive! In fact it is the biggest zoo in the world, and it took us a whole day to do it. There are so many animals and the enclosures were made to look and feel like their natural habitats. We saw snow leopards, tigers, cougars, lions, jaguars, grizzily bears, spectacle bears, panda bears, polar bears, koala bears, giraffes, zebras, elephants, camels,
gorillas, chimpanzees, urangatangs, monkeys, meerkats, galapogos tortoises, reptiles, penguins, walruses, hippos, crocodiles, alligators, exotc birds, the list was endless.

Again we were, really impressed with the zoo´s ethics coming from an educational stance they were there to teach people about biospheres and the impact of humans upon their environment, mindblowing, nothing like Chessington or anything we have in the UK.

Today was our last day in San Diego and it was sad to leave.  We hired a shuttle and sadly made our way back to LA, West Hollywood in fact, the journey was quite gruelling but after a few games of Mario Kart DS we were well and truly laughing and having a laugh.

After a two hour journey, we finally arrived in West Hollywood and booked into our hostel. The thing is about the internet is that although it is a brilliant way of finding stuff out, don´t be fooled like we were when booking into this hostel. The Orbit Hostel in West Hollywood, says it is really funky and cool and when you log on it seems great, trendy and really cool....how NOT!

This is the hostel from hell. The rooms stank the people were really weird (and you thought we were strange) and the poeple who ran the place were as friendly as a block of polar ice. So just a note, to Orbit or not to Orbit, we say NOT!

On the plus side however, we were within walking distance of Santa Monica Boulavard, which we quickly found out was the gay area of Hollywood, and very gay, every restaurant, bar, shop was gay run or gay owned. It was so diverse and open minded, and we loved the feel of this part of the city. The people were really friendly and helpful and we found a shop with the biggest selection of dildos we had ever seen in the world. Phil and Graham, the pŕir of monkey´s loved it!!! Comparing all the sizes!

What was also amazing, that we didn´t know was that Califiornia is the only state where marijuana, is legal, where you can grow, possess and smoke it. No wonder it is known as the Hippy State. There were even "medical" shop´s where, with the appropriate ID you can buy it over the counter for ailments like rhumatism, nausea, and insomnia, rock on the Free World, it was this open minded attitude that really appealled to us all, everyone was very relaxed and chilled, we know why...anyway after what seemed like an eternity, (the boulevards are very long) we returned to our hostel. Excited about the next day which was a day at Universal Studio´s. Rock on!
