Hello World!
We're at the halfway mark of our trip down here to Brazil...and it's going great! So great in fact I'll use the word the locals use for "cool", and it is..."Optimo!"
Our fantabulous group just got back from a soaking experience on the West side of Parana state and our now in the care of our respective host families.
Mine rocks. My digs rock. Internet access rocks. The food rocks, the Passion Fruit beverages rock and so much so that I have to say again what the locals say...optimo!
You know one really cool thing about being a GSE team member is that we get to mingle with accomplished pillars of the community. When I asked my host "mom" what she thinks of the local mayor (I am a journalist after all and we are going to visit the top local leader, so I might as well get some info)...well turns out, her nephew is the former mayor. I got a lot of insight, all before I ever walk in to tomorrow's meeting. Yep. You guessed it. It's....OPTIMO!
We spent the afternoon with my host family's relatives at their local ranch. The food was...I won't say it again...you know what I would say.
Until next time.

Hello, Brasil Team. I am so glad you are enjoying your trip. Do your clothes still fit? Morning Star Fishermen hosted a tour with the Brasil GSE team leader, Clecio Chiamulera today along with Roberto Sanchez and Mary Jo. They enjoyed the aquaponics experience and also the Ceviche we served!
