This weekend we took a short trip to Eastern Europe for a little r&r and it was everything a weekend trip should be. The architecture was amazing, the history abundant and we were even able to squeeze in a trip to the thermal baths, complete with an hour-long massage! Although most of Europe is sparse with greenery and beautiful weather right now, there was too much to do and see to let that rain on our parade. Hopefully my pictures posted aren't too blurry to hinder your impression of this amazing city!
So now back to life in London. Work is going well; my boss continues to challenge me and give me abundant opportunities to expand my roll and meet new people across the business
Oh, I can't forget to add this part in as well! The last week in February I will start a five-week Spanish and Latin American cooking course. I found this class through the library and it's right on the way home from work for three hours every Thursday night. I am very excited to see what neat things we will learn and my roommates have already said they will gladly be the guinea pigs for whatever 'homework' I may bring home.
So next on my list of travels: this Saturday Mountbatten will be taking us to Cambridge for one of the managing information lessons as part of our certificate requirements. I think it's about a two hour train ride away from us and we'll be back by the end of the day. For my next big trip, right now it's Paris in March when my cousin Megan comes to visit, but I'm trying to squeeze in a couple days toward the end of the month to go see Amanda down in Italy, so we shall see.
Thank you all again for keeping up with my travels!
Lots of love,
P.S. How 'bout that Fightin' Texas Aggie basketball win over t.u. last week?!?!
