Well our 17 days of Spring Break have come to an end all too quickly, but I
cannot think of a better way we could have rounded out our vacation than
skiing in Canazei. Not only was it amazingly beautiful up in the mountains,
but we had tons of fun!
Using only what I had brought with me, I managed to piece together a skiing
ensemble that kept me actually more warm than I thought. At times, I think I
actually had too many layers on! Our professor that coordinated this whole
trip for us, also got us two ski intsructors for both days, one for the
beginners and one for the more advanced, and the two of them were really
helpful. I cannot say that I am headed for the 2010 olympics or anything,
but they taught us so much and by day two, I think we had improved so much.
Also, I cannot talk about this entire trip without mentioning our hotel.
Probably the best thing each of our rooms came with was a nice, big bathtub
which came in very handy after skiing all day. No broken bones to report
over here, but I definitely walked away with lots of sore muscles. Out stay
also included a full breakfast and a five course dinner. It is almost hard
to describe in words how realxing and fun our whole trip was!
As we head into our final month, this weekend coming up has us staying here
in Castiglion for classes as part of the bargain we had with our professors
for allowing us to go skiing. I am actually looking forward to being off all
means of transportation for a good week, before we venture out to do some
more traveling. I will try to get my pcitures burned to a CD ASAP and get
them posted soon. I hope everyone is doing well and thanks again for keeping
up with all my travels.
Ciao,
Abbey
