The company I was working with in Florida flew me out to Freeport to meet the boat and mobilize the Reson 8150 Echosounder. This piece of equipment was ginormious and had to be installed in sections. One of the Bahamian workers accidently knocked one of the sections off the dry dock and had to send divers down to retrieve it. The dry dock guys were joking around about replacement parts, I don't think they know that there are only about 3 of these systems in the world. I've been to the Bahamas before, but I've never had to do work with Bahamians. Let me tell you from experience, Island time is sloooooow. And if you push them, they only work slower. I completed all my work running circles around the Bahamians and still had time to see some sights without falling behind. Quite a cool experience, check out the pictures.
