A day in the life of a survey crew. We did bottom core samples during the day so that they could see what they were doing. I enjoyed this because It was hot outside and I could sleep during the days when everyone else was awake and do my work alone while everyone was sleeping. The AUV was launched in the evenings so that we could see the strobe lights on it when it resurfaced. All the other time was committed to seafloor survey. I ended up working a pseudo split shift, actually I just worked whenever I wasn't sleeping. I didn't mind. I was excited to be part of such a large survey on such a nice boat.
