I’ve spent the last five hours listening to celebration of Zambia’s win over Uganda to secure a place in … something soccer related. Singing, chants, car horns, those %$&! vuvuzelas. At the moment
Zambia won, the whole town erupted in cheers so loud I ran to the main house to see what had happened. I’m more than a kilometre away from the town center.

Uganda were the underdogs, which means had I known about the game I’d have been compelled to root for them, even though (and probably especially since) I’m in Zambia at the moment. Yes, I’m the kind of American that roots for the underdog in sporting matches.

Anyway, congratulations, Zambia! Seriously, stop it with the %$&! vuvuzelas! Next year, go Uganda!
