Yesterday we drove from Granada to Madrid. In the evening we went into the city for the Tapas bars. We discovered that 6th December is a National Holiday and the streets were heaving with people and bars packed. It was chaotic, but a great atmosphere and we drank and ate our way around the city.
The temperature has dropped dramatically as we have moved up north. Today it was a bit too cold to enjoy wandering around the streets. So we spent the afternoon in the Reina Sofia, which is a great museum home to Picasso's Guernica. To keep warm I am now wearing almost all my wardrobe at once. I haven't done laundry for the whole trip (apart from essentials, i.e, underwear), so I've lost count of the number of times I've worn everything. I've also been showering as little as possible, because in Morocco the showers were generally awful and in Spain it's too cold. I feel filthy.
