Cusco is a beautiful city with a lot of charm and lot of 'massage, lady you want massage?' every 5 seconds.. Just like Bali! One major difference is it is really cold and after spending 5 months in the sun we really felt the bite!

Soloman and I decided to splurge a little and try alpaca meat in one of the many fancy restaurants in the plaza!! So delicious!! It was a lovely evening with a good bottle of wine and a delicious dessert of dulce de leche (burnt condensed milk) apricots and coconut biscuits!! Splurging when you have been eating street food and $4 set menus for the last 5 months was and awesome thing!!

Following our splurge we hoped a bus which took us on a tour to the Sacred Valley where we walked around some of the Inca ruins! We were also lucky enough to hit a little town during a festival where they had dancers in some insane costumes and music belting out which I'm sure the whole valley could hear.. We chose to stay and experience the festival in favour of another Inca ruin!! The Incas were an interesting group but with Machu Picchu coming up I didn't want to be all ruined out!!
