We have arrived!! We arrived in the airport to be greeted by a man who had our names on a sign. He didn't speak any english. Not even 'hello'. He ushered us and put us in a big black van with blacked out windows. He drove us for 2 hours through the city and countryside. Emma and i were very calm and expected this was a completely normal experience in korea.
Fortunately, it was! We arrived at the hotel and went straight to bed - having lost a whole day.

Seoul was busy and full of pollution and drunk homeless people who believed if they laughed at us for long enough we would give them some money. We just laughed back tho. What a sight! We did the Seoul city tour in a tropical rain shower, so didn't see all that much. They do sell doggy's in the window like in all the american movies. So, having to stay clear of those streets!!

People move so quickly and are always in a rush. Koreans dont show any expressions on their face, so they just glare at you. Which isn't very nice! Particularly because I know they don't mean it!!

We got the subway then the train down to Daegu with two huge backpacks, a laptop and a suitcase. It was fun. Particularly because there are no lifts anywhere - only stairs!!

Rain
Hallo Taransay,

Now I thought I was bad getting into a car (with a pal)in Tenerife with a guy who didn't speak English but you win, blacked out windows and two hours drive, how special you are. I always knew you were destined for great things but to achieve superstar status on arrival is the biz.
Rain - I'm sure it's a Scottish/British thing but we seem preoccupied with it no matter where we travel. so tell me is it hot rain or the good old Scottish stuff. The beauty of it is you training with it here stands you in good stead and being so tall in Korea you are probably protecting a lot of the little people around you, well done.
I hope thngs continue to be interesting and fun for you and I look foward to your regular updates

Good health, Fiona
