Woke up at 6:40am to find we were in the process of docking. Showered and got ready to leave the ship, then took our hand luggage to the Windjammer to enjoy our last breakfast on-board. Disembarked at around 9am, then through customs and security, and into a taxi. Got to the Marina Bay Sands (our home for the next 2 nights) around 10:30am, but couldn't check in until 1pm at the earliest (3pm is normal check in time).

Decided to have a look around the complex (it's huge), and then a short walk to Suntec City to check out the "Fountain of Wealth"... boy were we disappointed! I'd been led to believe I was missing something if I hadn't seen it, but I was misled. It's a very large shopping mall, but not really impressive beyond that.

After a short stop at Gloria Jean's, we returned to the hotel to check in. The room wasn't ready, but they gave us a key to the SkyPark, so that's exactly where we went. The public are able to pay to go up to the SkyPark, but they don't get to swim, and they have very restricted access. It was nice to be invited into the restricted areas while the public were refused :)

After around 30 minutes I received a call to say the room was ready, so we picked up our key and headed to the 34th floor to see what was in store. We were very impressed. A large room with huge bathroom, bath and shower, all beautifully fitted out. A quick change into the bathers and we were back up to the SkyPark.

The water was initially a bit cool, but after a minute it was very enjoyable, and what an awesome location for a swim. Unfortunately after maybe 45 minutes it started to sprinkle those big tropical raindrops. As it got heavier it was clear this wasn't a brief shower, so we packed up and headed back to our room.

After a bit of relaxing, we headed downstairs to Kraze Burger and enjoyed a K.B++ each. As I type (8:00pm), Mum's gone to see "The Lion King" show that opened a couple of days ago in Singapore (just downstairs). I was thinking of going as well, but there were only 2 separate seats available, and by the time we booked Mum's, the second was gone. So I'm off to see if I can get some good night photos.
