  We drove through Kootenay National Park to Panorama Mountain Resort www.panoramaresort.com   Here you can do everything from mountain biking, white water rafting to horseback riding in the mountains.  I highly recommend this resort to anyone who is traveling in the area it's only a two hour drive south from Banff.  On our drive we stopped many times, once at a hot springs and a few times we pulled over on the side of the road to take pictures of the scenery and the wild animals.
