After a night at Bedford with Lyndsey at her friends place. Which I have to say they had the most amazing house and bathroom. See picture below of the bath we were off to Stanstead for our flight to Pisa. One thing I wasn't quite aware of was how terrified Lyndsey is of flying. She told me not to worry thought as she found her last diazapam so all should be good. Well all was good until we got delayed taking off and had to sit on the tarmac and then we had quite a bit of turbulance on the actual takeoff and Lyndsey grabbed for me while trying to stick her fingers in her ears and shut her eyes. It certainly made for an interesting trip.
We made it and got a small train to Lucca where we managed to find our accomodation only with a slight detour. It is extremely hot here and Lucca is a beautiful place. We are staying right by the oldest piazza and it has bars and restaurants all around. There was a medieval encapment/market on by the old church which was fantastic. People all dressed up, with food and everyday life activities from medieval times. There was also a guy that did a fantastic fire show and Lyndsey and I both concurred he looked rather good without his shirt on as well.

We wandered around the small streets of Lucca and it is actually contained in a 12m high wall that runs all the way around the city and you can bike or walk along the top which we did. Is only 4km long stopping along the way to sight see, relax and take pictures.

Lyndsey and I have both been eating well so need to worry that we aren't looking after ourselves. The breakfast is great at the hotel and they cook us eggs fresh then there is an assortment of pastries, cereal, cheese, meats and even kiwi fruit and bananas(which I will get my fill of since they are so expensive at home) There are so many little restaurants and bars it is hard to choose which one and I am trying some things I normally wouldn't have a chance to like rabbit, guinea fowl and boar. Although I do think my rabbit was chicken.
As for the wine well it is cheaper to buy a half litre bottle of wine in a restaurant rather than water so I am sure you can guess what we have been drinking.
