It was our last day on the Hawaiian Islands. I always have mixed feelings on the last day of the trip: it's so nice to get back home and see friends and family and Ringo the cat. But at the same time it’s sad to leave all the beautiful places behind. We woke up early on Sunday so that we could do last souvenir shopping, pack our bags, see Dog’s office (which was, unfortunately, closed on Sunday), check out the beautiful sunset in Alamoana Beach Park, drive to the airport, return our rental car and start our looong trip back home. And it sure was long as we did the hotel check out at 12noon on Sunday and were home in Tampere, Finland on Tuesday at 9.30 PM! It felt that the day just never ended… I have never before travelled such a long period of time. It was an experience but not necessarily the most enjoyable one. But eventually it felt great to fall asleep at Home!
Well, I think there’s nothing left to say… But I truly hope that a bit of Aloha Spirit will stay in our hearts from now on J
