Where I stayed
Maija:
The day started with a plan to drive towards the Redwood National Park. We were driving up and down the steep and extremely curvy mountain roads and I sure could feel that in my guts...but eventually didn't throw up. The views were beautiful, though! I was happy that we stopped at the Big Foot Museum and actually saw a true B.F. maniac there. We weren’t lucky enough to meet this legendary huge, hairy guy, but I’m sure he’s somewhere there...
We decided to stay in a pretty small town called Hoopa, which also is an Indian Reservation. Next to our motel is a River Trinity and believe it or not we spent a good few hours horse playing next to the river and throwing some stones. After that we couldn’t resist our next door casino. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t achieve similar "casino fever" as in Vegas, but obviously one can’t compare this kind of places to Vegas. And one even shouldn’t. Now I’m really waiting forward tomorrow and the huge trees of the national park.
