Where I stayed
Maija:
If this entry would consist of only one sentence, it would say: "This morning we woke up in a motel called Super 8 in Childress, Texas, and this evening we went to sleep in a motel called Super 8 in Castle Rock, Colorado." Well, it does not.
After a sweaty night and never ending battle with the air conditioner, we started our journey towards Colorado. We were spraying the cars at the famous “cemeteries of cars”, Bug and Cadillac Ranches, around the city of Amarillo. Those probably were the main attractions of the day. However, even though the whole day, again, was spent on the road, we were able to see some really nice changes in the scenery. The small towns in Colorado seemed to be really cosy ones. Surprisingly our group ended up in a chain motel near to the same old McDonald's/Taco Bell/Starbucks/Wendy’s/Village Inn –hell. Tomorrow the plan is to visit the capital and a near-by city called Boulder.
