It was the first ˝real˝ football match I'd ever been to except for watching Perth Glory. It was the European 2012 qualifying match where Slovenia played the Faroe Islands and won 5 to 1. The Faroe Islands had no chance with a crowd like this! It was played in the new stadium of Ljubljana which is very nice, and flocked with pretty much 98% Slovenian supporters. I bought a Slovenian scarf to get into the spirit of it all and also to warm myself up as it was freaking freezing, I think it was like 5 degrees that evening! brrrr!!! Also grabbed a free Slovenian flag and away I went into the amazing stadium.

People were screaming and jumping and singing and chanting all kinds of Slovenian things. The atmosphere was just overwhelming! We were on our feet the whole time except for the half time break and no matter how much I was jumping and singing I was still sooo cold... How am I going to survive winter here?!!?? Anyways the Slovenian team played really well (or the Faroe Island played really bad), one guy from the Slovenian team even scored a hat trick scoring 3 out of the 5 goals.

I can't say much more about the game as I don't know all the rules and players and so forth but to be there cheering for a side and just to be amongst it all and experience the footballness of this country was just amazing. I'd do it again anytime. So much better watching it live than on the tv =p

I had soooo much fun!
